There was confusion in Offa, a town housing a federal polytechnic in Kwara state, on Thursday, April 5, as heavily armed robbers reportedly raided some banks and shot sporadically leading chaos among residents and customers.
Premium Times reports that the robbery incident, which occurred in the evening, led to the closure of businesses and shops in the Sanni Aba area of the town.

For example, troops deployed in Exercise Ayem Akpatuma on Monday, April 3, intercepted large number of armed herdsmen in Asom village, Guma local government area of Benue state following a tip off.
According to a statement sent to NAIJ.com by the director army public relations, Brigadier-General Texas Chukwu, on Wednesday, April 4, the bandits on sighting the troops at Ukaa and Babban Ruwa area opened fire on them. One herdsman was said to have been killed during the encounter.
Also, the Nigerian Army announced that Exercise Ayem Akpatuma will be extended for two months in Taraba state.
