13 APC Senators Defects to PDP, 2 to ADC following the House Leadership Siege by Security Personnel
Following the information that the house of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu’s houses are under siege by the policemen and DSS officials, the Senate house is not taking it lightly with the executive.
Sixteen (15) APC Senators and counting have defected to the PDP and African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Senate.
This already makes APC effectively the new opposition in the Senate as PDP clinches the majority position in the on going session.
Also, two of the 15 senators which are Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu (Oyo) and Sen. Nyako (Adamawa)
Senators that have taken this giant steps from the ruling APC to PDP are:
Sen. Shaaba Lafiagi,
Sen. Dino Melaye, Sen. Shittu,
Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim,
Sen. Shehu Sani,
Sen. Shitu Ubali,
Sen. Isa Misau,
Sen. Nazif, and Sen. Kwankwaso.
However, the Senate President is yet to make any move, he remain in APC.
