JAMB Starts News exam System for Blind Candidateand other disables
JAMB candidates with visual, Speech and hearing disability would never again confront challenges while sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has set up another approach in writing the examination.
This was made known by Professor Okebukola after a gathering with JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede yesterday where the board had concurred that his gathering ought to be permitted to actualize successful courses in leading exams for extraordinary candidates.
He said the gathering which dealt with daze and outwardly motivated competitors was guided by the enlistment center to incorporate those with discourse and hearing debilitations.
He said “We are here to get the order of JAMB on the new system for actualizing UTME 2019 for blind candidate. Our past system relies upon what the applicants are utilized to, for example, the Braille and PCs.
Thus we need enhance the organization of test for blind candidate,” he said.
He said exceptional applicants would starting now and into the foreseeable future; take exam in higher establishments that run specialized curriculum courses particularly the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo.
