Nigerian Hope, Favour Get Divine Intervention in UAE

A 27-year-old Nigerian national Hope Edemevughe’s bleak life finally took a decisive turn. She describes this moment as a ‘Divine intervention’ and describes the helper as an ‘Angel’.

Hope was abandoned by her husband at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, Ajman after she had given birth to their daughter, Favour.

The mother and her eight-months-old daughter were unable to avail the on-going amnesty program in the country due to non-payment of huge hospital bill amounting to Dh12,490 (approximately N1.5m). Her husband was said to have absconded after seeing the hefty bills.

KhaleejTimes reported Hope’s hopeless situation which prompted a reader who prefers to remain anonymous to settle the bills.

The good Samaritan sent a receipt with a mail to KhaleejTimes with the content

“I hope that would be enough to settle Hope’s bills and for her to start a new life.”

The overjoyous mother said

“You have given my daughter and me a second life. I am so full of joy that I have not been able to close my eyes to sleep.”
