Sheikh Mohammed Sympathizes With India Over Flood Disaster
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of UAE and the ruler of Dubai shows sympathy for the people of India.
Coincidentally, Indians are celebrating their independence today which doubles as a day of grief for the people of Kerala that is battling with deadly flood.
This year marks the most disastrous independence day ever as monsoon flood occupies Kerala. The disastrous flood has claimed more than 300lives and displaced hundreds others.
Indians being major shareholders in UAE’s economy and a friend necessitated Sheikh’s concern for the country and asks for prayers on their behalf. He said:
“The state of Kerala in India is currently witnessing huge floods, the most devastating in a century. Hundreds have been killed, hundreds of thousands have been displaced. Ahead of Eid Al Adha, do not forget to extend a helping hand to our brothers in India.”
