President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector-General of Police, not to ask Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State for questioning.
PDP had mentioned that the Nigeria Police had summoned Adeleke for alleged exam malpractice and criminal conspiracy, simply few days to the governorship election in Osun.
But a presidential source informed journalists on Wednesday that Buhari had ordered the IGP now not to head in advance with the invitation.
Channels reviews that Buhari ordered that Adeleke need to now not be invited till after Saturday’s election.
Force Spokesman, Jimoh Moshood had in a declaration Wednesday stated Adeleke and Sikiru, his brother, sat for the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) as inner candidates in 2017, “impersonating” college students of OJO/Aro Community Grammar School in Osun state.
Moshood said the alleged crime was facilitated by the principal of the school, and other contributors of body of workers of the faculty for which they’re underneath research and being charged to courtroom.
