The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has waved aside claims in a few quarters that the governorship candidate of the Social Demicratic Party, SDP, Iyiola Omisore, was bribed to support the ruling Party (APC) within the just-concluded governorship election in Osun State.
He said Omisore was best assured by the APC that a number of SDP’s manifesto could be applied with the aid of the ruling Party.
Oshiomhole said this at a news conference on Friday in Abuja where he declared the behavior of the election as “substantially” free and fair.
Explaining similarly, the former Edo State Governor said he used the phrase ‘large’ due to “the incidences that compelled the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to cancel the first round of elections in seven polling gadgets.”
The former Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC boss stated “INEC declared the APC candidate winner based totally on their impartial assessment of information of the election.”
Oshiomhole dismissed issues that the electoral umpire may have come underneath undue affect from the APC-led federal authorities.
