STRANGE: Earthquake-like Shake Hit Abuja

Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released a press statement regarding earth shaking observations around some settlements in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

The agency said it received distress calls from people living around Mpape and Maitama District that the earth was shaking which prompted them into action.

After much investigation, the agency assured the people that this is not a sign of earthquakes but earth tremor and and there should not be any cause for alarm.

Safety hints were given by the agency if it happens again. Also, the agency thanks the callers and encourages them to do so again by calling Emergency lines to report further observations.
