The assembly held in the back of closed-doors on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the state’s capital.
One of the governors, speak with Channels after the assembly, stated it ended inconclusively.
He said the governors have been inclined to pay the N30,000 new minimum salary demanded by workers but that they lacked the capacity to accomplish that.
The governor disclosed that an emergency assembly of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum would be convened on Tuesday.
According to him, the meeting on Tuesday will focus on finalising agreements on an genuine minimal wage the states are inclined to pay their workers.
The meeting which ended in deadlock wad also attended with the aid of the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, and the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed.
