NLC Insists on 30,000 Naira Minimum Wage
Nigeria Labour Congress Insists on the payment of 30,000 naira as minimum wage across the country as recommended by the tripartite committee established by the Federal Government.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba said this at the public hearing on the matter, organised by the House of Representatives yesterday in the National Assembly, Abuja.
In his speech, Wabba said, 30,000 naira salary is equivalent to 1,000 naira a day. If a family of six, that is, father, mother, and four children is living on the minimum wage, it will be equivalent to the feeding allowance of 50 naira per person.
