BREAKING: ASUU Suspends Strike
The Academic Staff Union of Universities suspends its 3-month old industrial action.
This decision was taken after hours of a closed door meeting between ASUU executive and the representative of the Federal Government, led by the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige.
In the declaration of the suspension of the strike, the leadership of ASUU said that NEC resolve that the current action be suspended immediately from tomorrow, Friday 8th, 2019. However, if government refuse to play their role as signed in the new memorandum they will go back to strike as the association deemed fit.
